Anything that makes us laugh or cry or bleed goes here.

A Review Of Werk's Grim Dubs Series which we may or may not have had a hand in.

The grim series is here to spread itself across four twelves containing some of the most fiercly f*cked-up bassline mutilations and sublow cut-ups youšll ever have the pleasure of caning. Two tracks per twelve, give it an airing at relationship-destroying volumes and prepare yourself for things to get decidedly NASTY, or, if you prefer, Grim. Killerrr!!!!!!!' Boomkat

Such as this, a recent post from our message board:

electronica isn't worth the CDs it's recorded on.

To be fair, electronica, and all its related music forms, such as handbag house and hi-nrg disco, (oh sorry, I meant to say Gabba and Breakcore, but you can see how I made the mistake)are all as gay as twenty-five chairs.

I wish that these so-called 'artists' would try and write music with words and emotions, instead of all these silly blips and boinks, most of which make it sound like the CD is skipping! Where is the artistry in that? Anyone can take a Simon and Garfunkel CD and scratch it with their housekeys and in doing so, create 'clever electronica'. (Although, if anyone did take a set of keys to a CD of these geniuses, I'd be forced to take matters into my own hands)

I could list the many shortcomings of this genre, but frankly I have better things to do - my gnome collection needs a good dusting, and I've got to get to Marks and Spencers...

So anyway, in conclusion, I have this to say - ban electronica and all of its ludicrous sub-genres (along with their ridiculous names - bip-hop please!)because it only gets on my nerves, and on the nerves of the general record-buying public.

Oddly enough, the person who posted this is a techno DJ.
